SOUTH BEACH TOUR

Day 1 | NEGOMBO – BENTOTA

From the airport or your hotel in Negombo proceed along the west coast to Bentota beach and do some water sports. (water ski, banana ride, jet ski, wave surfing, tube ride, speed boat trips, boat trips) In the afternoon rest in your hotel in Bentota.

Day 2 | BENTOTA – KOSGODA – UNAWATUNA

After breakfast visit the turtle farm in Kosgoda to watch 5 species of turtles and you might even be lucky to help with releasing them to the ocean. After this proceed slowly to Unawatuna,small fishing village on the southern coast of Sri Lanka. Relax on one of the most beautiful beaches in Sri Lanka.

Day 3 | UNAWATUNA – GALLE – NEGOMBO

After breakfast visit Galle Fort in Galle. Galle Fort, in the Bay of Galle on the south east coast of Sri Lanka, was built first in 1588 by the Portuguese, then extensively fortified by the Dutch during the 17th century from 1649 onwards. It is a historical, archaeological and architectural heritage monument, which even after more than 423 years maintains a polished appearance, due to extensive reconstruction work done by Archaeological Department of Sri Lanka.

After this visit the Mask Factory in Ambbalangoda Ambalangoda is very popular village for Mask industry. Masks are very important item for Sri Lanka traditional dances (Kolam,Yaga ) and the Moon Stone Mine in Meetiyagoda Sri Lanka is famous for its precious gems and moonstones, .Meetiyagoda, is one of the few places where they are found in such high concentrations. It is believed by the villagers that this piece of land, around an acre in extent, is blessed by the moon. The moonstone is grey and feels cool and smooth to the touch when polished and has a glow like that of the moon. In the afternoon proceed through the costal line back to Negombo. End of tour.

EAST COAST TOUR

DAY 01 AIRPORT - SIGIRIYA

After you got picked up at the airport or your hotel, you will proceed to Sigiriya.In the afternoon you will have the opportunity to climb the Sigiriya Rock Fortress, built 5th century A.D (claimed by some as the 8th wonder in the world), see the water garden, bolder garden, mural paintings, the mirror wall, the lion's paws and the royal swimming pool on top.Stay over night in Sigiriya

DAY 02 –03 SIGIRIYA – TRINCOMALEE

After breakfast proceed to Trincomalee.Trincomalee is a port city in on the southern coast of Sri Lanka about 113 miles south of Jaffna. Trincomalee is one of the main centers of Tamil speaking cultur region the island. . The beaches are used for surfing,scuba diving,snorkeling and whale watching. The city also has the largest Dutch Fort in Sri Lanka.2 nights in Trincomelee.

DAY 04 TRINCOMALEE – POLONARUWA – NEGOMBO

Leave Trincomalee after breakfast and proceed to ancient city of Polonaruwa.Sightseeing of the ancient city of Polonnaruwa (10th-12th century A.D). You will visit the modern museum, the Parakrama Samudra (gigantic reservoir made by king Parakrama the Great), Statue of King Parakrama, the Library Shrine, Palace of King Parakrama, the Kumara Pokuna (pond used by royal family with the water flowing system), the Shiva temple, the Thuparama shrine room with its glittering statues, the Alahana Monastery Complex, the Gal Vihare (a master peace of stone carving), the Lotus Pond and a traditional wood carving factory. After your afternoon tea you will proceed back to your hotel or International Airport.

CULTURAL TOUR

Early morning leave for Sigiriya,visit a roof tile factory and pineapple plantation as well as Pinawella Elephant Orphanage ,one of the popular attractions, established as a sanctuary .Visitors are invited to observe and assist the baby elephants as they are fed from giant feeding bottles, before they plod down to the river for their daily bath.

In the afternoon visit the Sigiriya Fortress, which was a royal palace of King Kassyappa (477-495 A.D) Dinner and overnight in hotel in Sigiriya.

Day 2: SIGIRIYA – ANURADHAPURA

After breakfast proceed to Anuradhapura visit the ancient city. . You will visit the Sri Maha Bodhi (the oldest tree in the world with a written history and it is a sapling from the original tree under which Buddha got enlighted), the Brazen Palace, the Ruwanveli Seya Dagoba (biggest dagoba in Sri Lanka), the Thuparama Dagoba (oldest dagoba), the Lankarama Dagoba, the Elephant Pond, the Abhayagiriya Monastery Complex, the world famous Samadhi Buddha Statue and the Isurumuniya Temple. In the afternoon proceed back to hotel in Sigiriya

Day 3: SIGIRIYA – POLONARUWA - SIGIRIYA

After breakfast sightseeing of the ancient city of Polonnaruwa (10th-12th century A.D).On the way back visit the Mineriya National Park for afternoon Jeep safari and proceed back to hotel in Sigiriya.

Day 4: SIGIRIYA - KANDY

After morning elephant ride through the jungle proceed to Kandy,visiting Dambula Cave Temple, batic factory and spice garden in Matale on the way.,Visit of Temple of The Tooth and traditional cultural dancing show in the evening. Dinner and overnight in hotel in Kandy.

Day 5: KANDY – NEGOMBO

On your last day you will visit a wood carving factory, gem museum and Peradeniya Botanical garden before proceed back to your hotel in Negombo.End of tour .

Day 4: KANDY – NUWARA ELIYA

Nuwara Eliya supposed to be one of the coolest places in the Island, but it is really just like an English spring day, although the temperature does drop at night. All around Nuwara Eliya you will see evidence of the British influence, houses like country cottages or Queen Ann style mansions. En-route visit the famous Ramboda waterfall , Sri Lankan tea plantation and a working tea factory, and also experience a self-tea plucking session. Dinner and overnight in hotel in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 5 : NUWARA ELIYA – HORTON PLAINS

After early breakfast you will be taking a trip to Horton Plains, Sri Lanka’s highest and most isolated plateau. Set on a backdrop of the hauntingly beautiful landscape of cloud forests and endless grasslands, Horton Plains is the perfect place for nature lovers, with its rich biodiversity and stunning views. Those who visit Horton Plains can’t help but be enamoured by the sight of many wild animals and different species of birds enjoying the resplendent surroundings. Walk through Horton Plains to the precipice known as World’s End – a sheer drop of an astonishing 1,050 meters, an excellent place to look out over the surrounding hills, and a popular spot for photos. Return to hotel in the afternoon and then free walk in local market .Dinner and overnight in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 6: NUWARA ELIA – ADAMS PEAK

After breakfast move on to Sri Pada.It is variously known as Adam`s Peak, the place where Adam first set foot on Earth after being cast out of heaven or “Sacred Footprint” left by Buddha as he headed towards paradise or “Samanalakande “ Butterfly Mountain, where butterflies go to die. Whichever legend you care to believe, the fact remains that it has been a pilgrimage centre for over 1000 years.

The best to visit Adam`s Peak is between January – May ,as from May – October the peak is obscure by cloud cover most of the time. Adam`s Peak is not for the faint hearted, as it is for the early morning riser , ascending the mount as early as 5am to get the best view.

Day 7: ADAMS PEAK – KITHULGALA -NEGOMBO

After rest in your hotel proceed to Kithulgala for white water rafting and enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way and surrounding area. Originally known for the classic movie production Bridge on the River Kwai. Now days very popular for a white water rafting enthusiast. In the afternoon proceed back to your hotel in Negombo. End of tour.

Today the monuments of Anuradhapura’s heyday survive for you to visit surrounded by the solemn umbrage of trees and an ancient parkland. During the tour, you will visit an Archeological museum, The sacred Bo Tree, Brazen Place, Royal Palace, Samadhi Buddha, Kuttam Pokuna, and more. Dinner and overnight in hotel in Sigiriya.

Day 3: SIGIRIYA - POLONARUWA

After breakfast leave for Polonnaruwa Ancient City, another World Heritage site. Once the Capital of Sri Lanka from 11th – 13th Centuries, still contains some splendid and spectacular statues, walkways and palaces among the forestry watched by the wildlife. In the afternoon you will visit Mineriya National Park and proceed back to your hotel in Sigiriya

Day 4: POLONARUWA - KANDY

Once you check in to your hotel in Ella you will climb Little Adam`s Peak, visit the Rama`s Cave or just chill by one of the waterfalls Ella has to offer. Dinner and overnight in hotel in Ella.

Day 7: Ella - Tissa

Proceed to Tissamahama,visiting the Buduruwagalla Buddha standing statue on the way following by afternoon safari in Yala National Park. Dinner and overnight in hotel in Tissamaharama.

Day 8: YALA - NEGOMBO

After breakfast proceed back to Negombo via beautiful southern costal road,visiting Dondra lighthouse, blow hole in Dickwella, Weligama fishing village and turtle hatchary in Unawatuna. End of tour.
